I have a tendency to have constant flashbacks and love to keep referring to them. But I strongly believe the influences I had in my childhood days have shaped my current likings, hobbies and my overall personality.

Well, it’s said that only characters in movies wake up with a soundtrack playing in the back. However, my story was a little different. Every morning I would wake up to my dad playing the BBC Radio out loud (he needed the UK pop kick to get his day started). But through the day I would hear different radio channels, sometimes Egyptian, sometimes electronic tunes on the ‘Group Therapy’ channel. Basically, I have been hearing music from around the globe ever since I can remember, and eventually I got hooked onto it.

For 7 years I trained in Indian classical music, in which I studied complex ragas, got a deep understanding of sign structure. After vocally training myself for so long, I decided to enhance my skill further. I self-taught myself the piano, in a way that I could play any song, just by hearing it a couple times.

But I wanted to explore even more. Eventually I developed my own tastes in music and was fascinated by the world of EDM (Electronic Dance Music), and the techno revolution that was going on. Through the Covid-19 lockdown I would watch concert videos of the largest DJ’s performing on international stages such as Tomorrowland Festival. Taking inspiration I downloaded a DJ’ing software when I was in 8th grade and started playing around. I did this for 3 years, in which I ended up making 300+ remixes of English pop songs and Bollywood hits.

It was after so much hustle, that I decided to buy a small console, and since then I haven’t stopped, making remixes and mashups of whichever song I can, being versatile around genres.

But again, I did not want it to end there.

I started learning how to produce music, make my own tunes, and am currently learning music production on FL Studio. Every sound has its own story, every song has its own emotion.

When a story and an emotion come together what forms is shere magic.

Whenever I play my remixes for my friends and watch them dance and enjoy, it's this magic wand I feel I have in my hand. This magic wand which gives me the power to bring a smile and a speck of joy to their day. Music has healed me in my low days and gave me the punch to power through the others. Music is not just a form of media, but a translation of emotions that cannot be spoken or written about. Music does not discriminate, music does not judge your religion, language, gender, race, identity -

Music has the power to unite, music has the power to heal, music is the answer.
